After spending an extensive period of time in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, I've thought over my experience and created my top ten list of favorite things about being there. You can find that list in a previous blog titled: 10 Best Things about Punta Cana, D.R. This list however, is my 10 Worst Things about Punta Cana, D.R. This list is based on my own personal experiences, and my environment. This is no reflection on the town, or country itself.
1. Screaming in terror as I attempted flying trapeze for the first time.
2. Seeing the hot, young guys that were barely dressed and sprinkled all over the beach... then realizing that they weren't all 18.
3. Skipping gourmet meals to get an extra 20 minutes of sleep.
4. The liver damage I've suffered after drinking the endless supply of rum and beer.
5. Not having time to enjoy the beach; or the beautiful clear water with a view of a ship wreck.
6. Being disconnected from phones, tvs and the internet. My family thought I was dead at one point.
7. Realizing that my Spanish isn't as good as it should be, and that I should have learned French before my arrival.
8. Watching the sunset over the water and realizing that I still had 5-8 hours of work left.
9. Not having time to enjoy the water activities such as sailing and snorkeling.
10. Living next door to Julio Inglesis, and never being invited over to his house.
