Last Minute Ideas for Your Halloween Party

So you still haven't booked entertainment for your Halloween party, yet you want to make it stand out? Never fear, I'll save you dear. Party planning can be quite stressful at the last minute, so I've listed some easy entertainment ideas to ease your burden.

Hire:

1. A tarot card reader

2. A palm reader

3. A psychic

Just remind your guests that it's for entertainment purposes only. The last thing you want to hear is about one of your guests being arrested for grave robbing some seemingly old relic with mystic powers.

4. Costume charactersCostume Characters are professional performers that really know how to interact with your guests while maintaining their ghouling character.

5. Stilt Walkers

Stilt Walkers have a variety of costumes, so search for one with Halloween costumes to fit your theme. Many also perform other tricks such as juggling. With three skeleton heads and a juggling Stilt Walker, you've instantly taken your atmosphere up by several notches.

Good luck, my friends. Have a successful, and smashing Halloween party!

Cheap Entertainment for Tough Times

Having a party on a tight budget? We all feel the current state of the economy, whether we're shopping for groceries, or searching for gas in a gas shortage state. It's everywhere. So with a tighter budget, how do you find entertainment? Its time to start thinking outside of the norm.

Costume Characters

Costume characters are an amazing addition to any theme party event, and they are available for a variety of themes. For example, having a Casino theme party? Add Showgirls. Or for a 20's theme party, add Flappers. The possibilities are endless. So if your budget doesn't allow for live entertainment, consider costume characters as an addition to your party.

Party Starters/Crowd Motivators

Party Starters and Crowd Motivators have the same meaning, but people usually use one of the two phrases to describe them. These are dancers that maintain the energy of your dance party. They will sometimes lead line dances. Think Electric Slide and Cupid Shuffle. However, they can lead country line dances if you'd like as well. They also encourage the guests to dance. While we'd like to think that party guests don't need any assistance having fun, we all know that sometimes they actually do need a little motivation.

DJ

With a great DJ, you might not need much else. And a DJ that understands your guests will know what types of music are more likely to get them on the dance floor, and keep them there. Another great idea is to combine a DJ with Party Starters, and you can usually do this while staying well within your budget.

Hopefully you're all set to have a party without breaking the bank. Be sure to visit Stella Entertainment for more ideas on entertainment for your party or event.

How to Throw a Great Halloween Party

So you want to host a Halloween party? Every year millions of people try their hand a being a Halloween party host. But, millions fail at creating a smashing theme party. Yes, I'm being a little extreme, but you get the point.

Here's how you can create your own Halloween party that people will be talking about for years to come:

Everyone knows the typical elements of throwing a Halloween party from selecting a venue and caterer, to bringing in Halloween decor of fake spider webs, smoke machines, and Halloween sounds CD. But, what takes your party from ordinary to spectacular is the entertainment.

Be sure to encourage your guests to dress up in costume. This becomes built in entertainment because later in the evening you can have a costume contest, and give out prizes to the best costumes.

The start of every party is always a little mellow, so be sure to book entertainment to set the mood. If you're serving dinner first, hire a dance company that specializes in theme party entertainment. At Stella Entertainment we have a repertoire of Halloween numbers such as a Rocky Horror Picture Medley, and Michael Jackson's infamous Thriller. Our dancers perform in spectacular zombie costumes equipped with ghoulish zombie makeup. Check with the dance companies in your area to see if they provide Halloween entertainment. Some companies will also offer a meet and greet, in which the zombie dancers greet guests as they arrive.

If you want a more laid back party, another option is to book a Murder Mystery. Murder Mysteries are great because your guests get to become super sleuths for the night while trying to figure out "who dunnit." Because of the structure of Murder Mysteries, they are perfect for dinner party atmospheres, where conversation can be a little stiff between guests that aren't well acquainted. Guests get to pair up in teams to solve the crime, while having a stress free chance to interact with each other.

If ceiling height isn't an issue, book Stilt Walkers in Halloween costumes to walk the party haunting guests. Many Stilt Walkers are skilled at other tricks such as juggling. Imagine a zombie Stilt Walker juggling skeleton heads. No one would forget that!

Another unique idea is to book a Magician to do strolling Magic. Strolling Magic is yet, another great way of creating atmosphere since the Magician floats around between small groups of guests. Or, hire a Magician to perform a magic show complete with illusions to stump your guests.

And of course, don't forget to hire a slamming DJ. After dinner, your guests will want to get down on the dance floor, and a great DJ can keep the party going until the wee hours of the morning, or at least until you decide to kick everyone out.

Well, I hope I've provided you with enough tips to create a rocky, horror Halloween party. Take the ideas, and have a blast planning the ultimate party!
